Visas

Participants from outside the United States may need to apply for a visa at the American Embassy, consulate, or other visa-issuing office in their country of origin. Please begin your visa application as soon as you register. Consulates in some countries take several months to process applications. For information on obtaining your visa, please click here. As soon as you contemplate travel to the United States, and after identifiying a visa is needed, contact the US embassy or consulate for information about current visa processing time estimates and processes.

For visa purposes, a letter from the conference organizers may be obtained upon completion of registration and payment. Please email UW Conferences & Events at conferences@union.wisc.edu with your name and a letter will be emailed to you.

Attendance

Letters of attendance and participation will only be sent out if you personally request one during the conference. If the emailed letter does not fulfill requirements needed by your organization for proof of attendance, please contact UW Conferences & Events at conferences@union.wisc.edu with the specific information needed.
