Fee Category Descriptions:
- Early Career Professionals (ECP): Includes Postdoctoral Scholars who are within 10 years of finishing their terminal education (e.g., B.S., B.A., M.S., PhD). PUI-faculty at Primarily Undergraduate Institutions that do not confer graduate level degrees
- Regular Professional: Academic & non-profit organization staff with 10+ years post education. This will include most faculty and others in research, administrative, etc. titles that are 10+ years post education (excluding for-profit companies)
- Company/Industry: All others that work in non-academic/for-profit organizations. Industry/company employees that qualify in the ECP category are within 10 years of finishing your terminal education may use the ECP rate.
- Virtual Registration: View only - all speakers must attend in-person. Includes livestreaming via Zoom of Plenary and concurrent sessions and access to recordings for 7 weeks.
In-Person Registration Fee Includes:
- Access to all Plenary Sessions and Concurrent Mini-symposia and Workshops
- Delegate materials onsite (printed program, electronic pdf of abstracts & program)
- Access to Poster sessions with refreshments: Tuesday & Wednesday evenings
- Eligibility to submit one abstract & present in a talk (if selected by a session chair) and/or as a poster
- Exhibit Hall access: Tuesday & Wednesday evenings
- Daily coffee/tea breaks with refreshments
- Three lunches (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday)
- One ticket to the Opening Welcome Reception on Monday evening (RSVP required for catering purposes)
- Virtual access to live streamed sessions and on-demand recordings available 1 week post-ICAR, and for 4-6 weeks
- Access (free) to the 5K Weed Stampede Fun Run/Walk on Wednesday morning
- Access (free) to the Science Art Show, as a viewer or participant
- Certificate of attendance post-conference (pdf)
- Invitation letter for Visa applications (pdf), if needed

Checks: Please make all checks out to UW Conferences & Events – ICAR 2027 and mail to UW Conferences & Events | 702 Langdon St. | Madison, WI 53706. **Please allow time for checks to be cut and mailed.
Wire Transfers: Please contact Conference & Registration Services staff directly for instructions at conferences@union.wisc.edu. All expenses incurred in the wire transfer must be covered by the attendee. Please indicate the delegate’s full name as a reference on all bank transfers. In the event of a negative balance, additional costs will be collected on site.
Cancellation Deadlines and Fees
All cancellations must be made in writing to conferences@union.wisc.edu by June 18th, 2027 in order to receive a partial refund. A $70 (covers staff & transaction) fee will be assessed to any cancellation made by the deadline. Cancellations after June 19th, 2027 will not receive a refund. You can transfer your paid fee to another person if you notify staff in writing by July 5th (if there's an increase in fee, those funds will be collected onsite).
Virtual registration: No refunds after purchase. Livestreaming will be via Zoom. Recordings may be hosted by Vimeo, which is blocked in China (and several other countries). We may secure a video host that is accessible in China. If so, we will update this information. Please do not register if you cannot access Zoom for livestream, or Vimeo for recordings.
